Uno Stacko with Friends

I can't believe I wasn't able to write even one post for May.. hmm.. where've I been? haha!

Anyway highway.. Last June 11, Maan and I spent a night at our friends', Derick, home.

We actually have been imposing ourselves over their comfy home for a little while now, heehee.. We often just chat about, bitch about and then laugh about literally any thing.. Of course eating (coffee included) is never out of the plan. Come midnight and we still don't want to sleep yet, we play cards.. we watch funny videos in youtube.. we play jackstones.. we sing (I/Kuya sing, Liann plays the beat box, Joshua/Kuya plays the guitar.. and the star.. Maan.. just watches, hehe)..

So last June 11, we thought of playing a new game, hehe.. and that's obviously Uno Stacko, hehe. I cannot remember the time we started to play but I know for sure that we did play just one game that night for a long time.. around three years, haha! The consequence for the one who'll make the tower topple over is as simple as "make three cups/mugs of coffee" (for energy).. hehe.

It was really fun when we played that cause even if the consequence was really really simple, everybody played as if they're professional uno stacko players, haha! That night, we managed to build the tower up to 22 stories..


It was Joshua's, Kuya's younger brother, last move which caused the tower to collapse, haha!

The next morning, we played the game again and we managed to build it up to 24 stories.. :) we improved quite a bit =D

I was only able to take a picture when it reached the 23rd row.. but well.. we really did made it up to 24, =p

Next time we'll try 30, haha! *wishful thinking*

Welcome Party!

So it's been a long long time since my friends and I gathered altogether without an occasion to celebrate. We usually hang out in mam Tina's very comfy home and just sing and eat and chat. This gathering actually happened on the 5th of April (delayed post as usual, haha!). I asked them to come to the venue at 5 (hoping they'll be around at 6) but they all came at 7 (true-blooded Filipinos, harhar). I actually arranged that party because sir Geri (one of the best friends I ever really have) arrived in the Phils from Qatar that very day and he wanted to have that party so he can surprise all of them (I was the only one he informed about his arrival).

It was really unfortunate that I wasn't able to convince mam Liza and mam Win to come to the party (my plan was we were supposed to talk about a summer Puerto Galera outing so everybody should come and voice their opinions out); I just don't know how to convince them without spilling the beans.

And so anyway, when everybody committed to come came, we did what we usually do first.. EAT! I knew that there will be no more f0od left for him if he wasn't en route yet. blah.. blah.. blah.. So when he finally arrived at mam Tina's (fortunately there were still some f0od available for him, hehe.. but the rice has all been eaten up, haha!), as expected they were all stunned and very very surprised. I kind of felt envious that I didn't feel the same shocking feelings they have had at that very moment (anyway I have had my share of that shock too, hehe) but I thought it's okay, hehe.

Then we chat with him, laugh with him, bitch with him.. until the rice finally got cooked and we ate with him, haha! We also had ice cream courtesy of Ar-Ar so we stayed some more time in the kitchen table before we proceeded to the Salas to sing.

I was personally a little too shy (I do not know about the perfect term to describe it, hehe) when I first laid eyes on him after more than a year.. I don't know.. it kinda felt different.. One thing's for sure though, I was really really glad that he came back home.. I really missed him! =)

We stayed only til around 10 or 1030 because we still have got work the coming day (manic Monday, hehe). We spent only a little time together that day, but it was indeed one happy moment of my life. Missing someone is really terrible so...

The Diamond Star Maricel Soriano

OMG! This wonderful Filipina actress has always been my favorite ever since I knew what television is. I knew her from The Maricel Soriano Drama Specials back when I was really little and I liked her from there because I was completely taken by her obvious acting prowess. I mean obvious because no one can ever deny her acting skills, be it a fan, a moviegoer, an award-giving body et al.

Anyway, I was watching a recorded episode of a talk show called Ruffa and Ai in ABS-CBN and I found myself laughing out loud during the course of the interview. Everything was so perfect.. Ruffa and Ai-Ai were so evidently happy and entertained by her. Due this, I thought i'd revisit my video archive of her. So while I was browsing clips, it reminded me how much I really really really miss her on TV. She actually has a new movie showing today, April 11, on most theaters in the Philippines called "T2" or "Tenement #2" (please watch! thanks!) but no regular TV show at this point.

In the Philippines, she's known as the Diamond Star.. a name that sparkles just like her. Be it a comedy, drama, horror, fantasy or whatever.. I tell you she can do it. I've never seen somebody as versatile an actress as her!

I have had a very magical chance to meet this wonderful actress.. and person.. some time on my 2nd year in college. She's so beautiful and she's so.. gosh, i don't know what word i can use to describe her so you can actually understand what I mean.

So, I have always been a very supportive fan but I am proud of myself to have always prioritized my studies over some Inay-related (we, fans, and even some of her friends addresses her as "Inay") activities (I know Inay will be proud of me too if she'd known that, hehe). Due studies, I got used to not seeing her on TV.. It was JES (John en Shirley) which I missed the most. After graduation, I got work.. and still, haven't been able to reconcile with the other fans.

So, as my introduction says, I realized how much I really do miss Inay. It was very unfortunate for me to not have been able to come with Forever Friends (this is Inay's official fans club of which i'm a member) to support Inay during "T2" tv promotions.. that's due work again. I wish for her to have another regular quality TV show!

I guess i'm starting to get so attached and hooked again (I can say because I am doing nothing all day but watch her movies and other video archives). If truth be told, I don't know if I like this feeling because sometimes my feelings affect me so much that I think I can't.. well.. move on.. or go on.. or like I feel I'm gonna have a heart attack if I won't get/see what I want (can't really give a perfect example for this).. and it's hard to let go.. Oh, the mary-buboy love story ending (Click here to see some kilig pics of my favorite on-screen lovers) is still very very fresh in my heart, I still feel sad and s0o s0o affected.. When my feelings get to me so much, the only escape I can think of is to wish I'm not affected that much by her.. whew, I don't know, haha!

But right now, I'm happy and that's all that matters..

I see her as an inspiration.. somebody who's very strong inside and out. I admire her for having the kind of spiritual guidance she has in her life now and I also admire her relationship with God.

She's a very very true person, no hipocracy in anything that she is that's why you can say that those who love her truly loves her.. just like us, her fans.. whom she thankfully and fortunately treats very much like her friends..

In conclusion, I'd like to say.. that whether i'm so hooked and attached or not.. I will always be one of her most loyal, supportive, and "true" fan ever.

It was pretty difficult to cover because of all the shouting, hehe. Through this song though, I found out my voice doesn't really fit rock type of songs.

Okay so we (me and his mom Sherlet) were trying to capture Prince identifying all the letters of the english alphabet (he can identify all of them now, heehee) but we don't know what has gotten into him.. it's as if he knew what we wanted so he just felt like busting our plans, haha! What a genius!

Anyway, we'll still try to capture it =D preferably unknown to him hehe
